Making God the Joy of Our Soul is a collection of sermons, most of them brief enough to be read in just a few minutes. They burn with real fervor, and shine with the love of Christ. This collection of sermons is a wonderful treasure. Lucky Russia!

Homiletic and Pastoral Review
March 2004
Each (homily) is a small and beautiful jewel, brilliant in its insights,
rich in wisdom and holiness, gleaned
from the heart of a priest who lived the words he spoke. Father Cummings'
sermons are learned and erudite without being stuffy or hard to understand.
They have an edge to them - that edge that makes being a true Catholic
an exciting and noble adventure in the war between good and evil - kind
of like Lord of the Rings for real.
